Nang Lerng Market : Food court, old school style

Bangkok's first official market, Nang Lerng caters to modern folks while retaining the charm of her salad days. The old row houses, an old photo studio and, of course, a food court in the inner courtyard of the market. Taste the treats and sample recipes that have been passed down for generations. Some of the dishes can not found anywhere else, so don't wear tight clothing, or it'll be a 'waist' of your time.
BKK Note: Erected in 1918 during the market's heyday, Sala Chalerm Thani (Nang Lerng Theater) was a classic wooden structure showing silent films until their doors closed in 1993.
